Black Hills - Granite Island
This drink is born from the island in the plains. The Black Hills are the oldest mountains in North America, a two-billion-year-old granite dome rising from the center of the Great Plains, wrapped in a ponderosa pine forest. The cathedral spires are the exposed core, pushing through the canopy. The raspberry grows in the clearings between them, a fire-succession plant that thrives in the gaps between the ponderosa. Uniting the drink is honey distilled by pollinators that share the clearings with the raspberry bushes. This is the Black Hills.
